Ecology Objections
Below is a list of objection paragraphs relating to potential ecological impact of this proposed wind turbine. They are not in any particular order. Either cut and paste the relevant objections into your letter, or use them as seeds for your own ideas.

* Has a survey of the local ecology been carried out at an appropriate time when the wildlife is active? There is a wide variety of wildlife and I have seen buzzards, barn owls and bats which could all be affected by the construction of this wind turbine.

* Several residents have seen Red Kite on the very site of this wind turbine. In 1980s the red kite was one of only three globally threatened species in the UK, and so it was a high priority for conservation efforts.
In recognition of this the RSPB and NCC (now Natural England and Scottish Natural Heritage), got together in 1986 to discuss the feasibility of reintroducing the red kite to England and Scotland. This proposed wind farm will harm the efforts of the RSPB and Natural England and Scottish Natural Heritage.

* I am really concerned about the environmental impact this will have on our local area. We have nesting Buzzards, Barn Owls, Snipe, Curlew, Lap Wings, Oystercatchers and bats, not to mention the migrating birds into the wetlands at Martin Mere. I believe we need more than a desk top study of wildlife and it needs to be carried out at an appropriate time of year when the wildlife is active

* It has been shown in studies that bats particularly can be detrimentally affected by Wind Turbines, because they cannot detect the rotating blades or changes in air pressure around the blades. Other species such as nesting buzzards, barn owls and migrating birds suffer from disturbance/accidents within their habitat and flight paths. We have a wetland area; Martin Mere which attracts many migrating birds that fly in and out of our area each year attracting many visitors to our county.
